Job description:
The Analysts/Associate will lead and support assignments at clients across Asia and elsewhere. He/she will also assist with the development of the research agenda/studies, and training curriculum on the areas of microfinance, e/m-banking and/or value chain for Indonesia. He/she will spend approximately:
40% of the time in Action Research Partner (ARP) / Client or other offices, 40% of the time in the field
and 20% time in MicroSave office.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the development and submission of proposals to generate business - particularly for the Practice Group(s) of which he/she is a member (with Specialists/Senior Analysts)
- Led or assist with the planning and implementation of technical assistance assignments (with the Specialists/Senior Analysts)
- Active participation in delivery of training courses, research activities, curriculum development and the provision of technical assistance to clients on “as needed” basis
- Contribute to the development of MicroSave’s toolkits and other publications
- Conduct peer reviews of reports/documents
- Conduct “Quality of Delivery” assessments on the final day of each assignment
- At least 1-3 years of experience in financial sector e.g. banking/microfinance.
- Candidates working in other industries / sectors and interested to work in the field of development finance are also encouraged to apply
- Candidates should preferably have an MBA or post graduate qualification in social sciences, agriculture, finance, economics etc. from reputed universities
- Other relevant professional qualifications in line with areas of specialisation
- A strong field orientation and proven inter personal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Good spoken and written English
* The job requires extensive travel for on-site/off-site work and candidates must be willing to travel across India and on occasions to remote areas
