An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join Nationwide's Corporate Affairs division on a permanent basis as Citizenship Manager (Employee Engagement).Citizenship is a high performing team having been runner-up in the Team of the Year category at Nationwide's 2013 Annual Awards, and receiving external recognition such as Platinum in the Business in the Community Corporate Responsibility Index

What you'll be doing
You'll develop and deliver the employee engagement strategy, in support of Nationwide's Citizenship strategy. The focus is on increasing levels of employee awareness of, and participation in, citizenship, developing an array of citizenship programmes designed for employees at all levels, functions and locations.
Main duties:
* Support the development and implementation of the employee engagement strategy, driving involvement linked community programmes including 'Community Match' and 'Talking Numbers, environmental programmes such as the Retail Energy Challenge, as well as supporting Nationwide's national strategic partnerships such as Macmillan, Shelter and National Numeracy.
* Manage the Citizenship Co-ordinator (1 FTE: job share) who has responsibility for running the administrative operations of the team
* Develop strong links with HR to ensure citizenship supports and is integrated with the People Strategy, with a focus on incorporating citizenship into personal performance plans, talent programmes and the PRIDE framework.
* Manage and develop the network of Citizenship Champions, utilising the champions to increase levels of citizenship involvement across Nationwide.
* Support the planning and organising of events and campaigns (such as the quarterlyCitizenshipDays) that increase employee awareness of, and participation in, citizenship.
* Manage relationships and budgets with external partners needed to deliver citizenship engagement programme, including charity partnerships and local volunteering brokers.
* Responsibility for collating, analysing and reporting on employee engagement MI at a divisional and group-wide level
* Work closely with Reporting & Communication Manager and internal communication to develop a communication plan that underpins the employee volunteering programme
