Background
Our central government client has a 6 month requirement for a Apache CSP - ILS2. This position is based in Bristol. Apache Capability Sustainment Programme (CSP) Apache CSP aims to maintain Attack Helicopter capability out to 2040.
Apache CSP is a Category A project managed within the Apache project team and is currently coming to the end of concept phase. As the project moves into an assessment phase the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) resource will increase to plan for and de-risk a major platform upgrade. ILS activities during the next six months will focus on the development of the ILS sub-element plans and requirements and a contract specification for the proposed platform upgrade.
Main Duties/ Responsibilities
Role Description The Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) team will be responsible for determining the Logistic Support and Training Strategies for the CSP including the development of the related procurement strategies to be implemented post Main Gate. This post is responsible for carrying out ILS and Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) tasks relating to engineering support as directed by the ILS Manager, with an emphasis on the ILS activities relating to planning for an analysing the Logistic Support characteristics of the programme. The incumbent will work in a small ILS team but draw on expertise from the DES JSC SCM TLS SSIT. Typical duties will be as follows :- - Develop the CSP ILS Strategy and Plan - Develop ILS sub element plans. - Develop and Maintain all ILS documentation and products. - Scope and manage pre-view activity of Apache CSP ILS solutions.
Skills/ Experience Required
Essential skills - Experience of ILS in support of air systems - Experience of Collating ILS elements for submissions to approving authorities - Making ILS related decisions. The candidate has the necessary ILS qualifications and experience to develop, analyse and maintain strategies sub-element plans and cases - Demonstrate an understanding of the ILS elements and associated disciplines and their inter-relationships between each other in the development of support solution Desirable - Holds or has previously held the DES ILS Licence (levels 1 to 3) - Develop an assessment scheme, review and assess bidder responses for compliance with the Statement Of Work
