A leading retailer is looking for 2 Purchasing Managers to be responsible for a variety of categories, predominantly within the Indirect commodities.

Managing your defined spend categories you will ensure a high level of service to all brands within the group and meet cost savings.

Responsibilities:

-Sourcing new suppliers and managing and evaluating existing suppliers to ensure you get the best service levels possible at good value.
-Delivering new procurement strategies to continually develop service levels from suppliers.
-Management of a small team and work closely with them to develop skill sets.
-Creating tender and contract documentation.
-Contribution to the annual cost savings target

Experience and skills required

You will need to have Procurement experience at a senior level within a medium to large business and able to work within a sector that is constantly changing and evolving.

A proven background within Indirect Procurement

Within the role you will network across the business and with a wide range of individuals so you will need to have strong communication and influential skills

A qualification in CIPS would be an advantage.
