Leading organisation in the Social Housing sector has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Professional to join the Purchasing team as part of a drive to develop into a more proactive strategic procurement function.

THE ROLE
* Develop and implement procurement strategies for a range of goods and services within the FM / construction category areas, including maintenance, repair and improvements.
* Lead and develop a small team, ensuring that all procurement specifications are delivered in line with Office of the Journal of the European Union (OJEU) regulations.
* Build and develop relationships with key suppliers including monitoring performance and KPIs
* Engage with key internal stakeholders as well as external contacts in order to achieve best value at the highest quality.
* Build and develop the profile of procurement internally, by providing expert procurement advice to other departments.

REQUIREMENTS

* Demonstrable depth of experience preparing procurement contracts or tenders in line with OJEU legislation, European Procurement Regulations or within a highly regulated environment
* Experience in Public Sector, construction or FM procurement, (mainly services, maintenance, or repair contracts) is vital.
* Good communication skills, able to build and develop strong relationships with key suppliers
* Strong team leadership skills will be useful in the role.

Location:Kent /SE London
Salary: Up to £55k depending on experience.
