We have an excellent opportunity for a Category Manager to develop and implement leading procurement and supplier management strategies, to support Southern Water's operational and indirect supply requirements.

You will be responsible for managing major categories of expenditure from £100,000 up to £20 million annually, creating opportunities to improve leverage and driving implementation of best practice procurement. Along with this you will manage stakeholder relationships to achieve and maintain value through the effective management of operating supplies.

The successful candidate will either be CIPS Qualified (or equivalent) or will ideally be working towards this qualification.
You will be able to demonstrate a background in a procurement or commercial focused environment and will possess an excellent knowledge of procurement processes.

You will also be required to have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

In addition to this you will have either a practical or theoretical understanding of OJEU and European guidelines and processes.

A full UK driving license is essential for this role.
