You will take a very active role in creating the strategy and delivering the trading plans.
You will create and control the financial plans for a designated product area that supports the agreed Commercial strategy and actively monitor and refine it to ensure that sell through and margin are optimised.
The categories you will be responsible for are Laptops, Desktops, Monitors and Windows based Tablets. This is the opportunity to build your reputation with world leading manufacturers.
As this is an extremely high profile area, you will have continual exposure to very senior stakeholders within our business as well as regular supplier meeting at a high level.
This is the perfect arena to take on additional responsibility from your current role as well as forging the way towards a Merchandiser role as your next step. This product area has regular range changes and is therefore extremely fast paced. You will be supported by 2 Merchandise Planners.
This is a great opportunity for someone whom is currently in a Junior Merchandising role looking for the next step in their career with the support and guidance of the leading electrical retail commercial team to support you on your journey.
But of course to take on such a challenge, you will need great credentials to excel in the new Dixons Retail environment. We'll be looking for:
*Merchandising experience working within a FMCG or Hard Goods fast paced retailer, with knowledge and experience of:
*Planning and forecasting tools and principles
*Financial and product assortment planning processes
*Progressive buying processes within a retail environment
