1st executive are currently working with one of the UKs most reputable FTSE 150 companies who work across a number of industries incl Construction, Repairs, FM and Manufacturing due to their ongoing successes they are looking to recruit a Senior Category Manager for their London office
In the role of Senior Category Manager you will be responsible for leading a dynamic, commercially driven procurement function with a spend of in excess of £350 Million across a number of indirect categories with a focus around Soft FM incl Catering, Cleaning, Waste, security and Washroom.
You will also be required to undertake a number of duties including:
* Manage delivery of effective, best in class supply chain management services, ensuring an appropriate balance of cost, service and risk
* Delivery of key performance targets and service standards to OpCos
* Development of category and sourcing strategy / policies for specific spend areas
* Delivery of sourcing strategy including 'go to market' strategy, supplier negotiation, contracting and service level agreement development
* Delivery of defined savings / benefit targets
* Management of benefits and compliance
* Management of all aspects of ongoing supplier relationship, performance and contract management
* Liaison with relevant OpCo key stakeholders to understand business needs, deliver effective demand management and address any compliance issues
* Development of long term value adding relationships with internal stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers
* Manage operational, commercial and supply chain risk for own area of responsibility in a manner consistent with OpCo Frameworks
The successful applicant will have previously led and delivered savings across a number of indirect categories, posses a dynamic forward thinking approach to procurement with the ability to think outside the box to continue to drive and implement new ideas across procurement.
Have strong stakeholder/client liaison skills coupled with a strong commercial acumen.
This role reports directly into the Head of Procurement and on offer for the successful applicant is the opportunity to lead a commercially focused and best in class procurement function whilst also driving new procurement initiatives.
Requirements
* Extensive Indirect or FM Category Expertise incl Catering, cleaning etc
* Proven commercial approach to procurement
* MCIPS/Degree Qualified
* Upward track profile
* Blue Chip career background
* Full UK Driving license
