Headline:
Junior Buyer within an expanding multi-billion £ T/O international corporate; excellent development and progression route for bright graduates / equivalent, with some post-graduation Purchasing experience seeking a career within corporate procurement.
Role:
Reporting into the Head of Procurement, you will develop excellent exposure to Senior Stakeholders and the full breadth of category expenditure across the Group.
You will support the Senior Procurement team across the complete end-to-end strategic sourcing lifecycle, alongside running your own sourcing projects and engaging on best practice and continuous improvement programmes.
Your remit will encompass:
Supporting the design, implementation & embedding of procurement strategy and category management structures
Assisting in the management of end-to-end strategic sourcing lifecycle, including supplier selection, negotiation, contract drafting and post-contract award SRM
Identifying opportunities for Improvement, and relaying to Procurement Leadership Team
Supporting the management and realization of Cost Reduction activities, utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods
Supplier Performance and Relationship Management
Management of your own Purchasing and Continuous Improvement projects
Requirements:
- Diverse category sourcing expertise, preferably across Indirect / Services spend categories
- Ideally a Graduate (or equivalent) within a Commercial discipline
- Sound commercial acumen & skill-set: analytical, excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent influencing and interpersonal / relationship management skill set
- Above all bright, driven, enthusiastic; with a desire to develop commercial procurement experience within an autonomous and fast-paced corporate environment
