OVERVIEW
As the Topman Online Trading Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the online traders in the day-to-day trading of Topman's 12 online channels, as well as managing the performance and optimisation, of up to 4 small product categories.
Reporting to the Online trading manager, this role will assist online traders in reporting on sales, key metrics and promotions in daily, weekly and monthly trade meetings along with other adhoc tasks.
The Online Trading Assistant will work with all other Online functions including Creative, Marketing, VM& content and Operations, to ensure that Topman is potentialised worldwide.
This role is ideal for an individual who is looking to develop their career in Ecommerce.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist online traders in reporting on sales, key metrics and promotions in daily, weekly and monthly trade meetings e.g. Map analysis, best sellers report, Homepage analysis, clicks and revenue.
- Produce Monday Ecommerce trade pack for Brand trading meeting and smaller functional trading meetings.
- Responsible for maintaining online trading calendar.
- Manage data and trackers for key online revenue drivers (such as students and promotions).
- Assist Online traders in analysing the customer journey and page flow analysis, with main focus on the UK and USA website
- Management of product and category pages including supercats and banners, for smaller areas of the site.
- Analyse and build knowledge of online customer's, best sellers/departments. Responsible for setting IAQ's for new intake and rpt buys.
- Build relationships with product teams to ensure information is shared freely between the two and be point of contact for dept'sMAA's/AM's.
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with other functions of the Ecomm team, such as marketing and operations.
- To always be aware of any on and off site activity e.g. Prom promotion, Affiliate, email activity.
- Ideally experience in an Ecommerce environment, preferably within the trading function.
- Excel proficiency and experience or awarenessofusing Web analytics tools (such as Site Catalyst, Discover or Google analytics) essential.
- Will possess the ability to recognise stock trading patterns and analyse these in more detail to propose actions to online traders.
- Should possess a Trading Mentality - able to work at pace, challenge and drive results.
- Will have a Market and Customer Focus - a good understanding of Online competition and the Online customer.
- Confident to share new ideas, while considering potential outcomes and actions to be taken.
- Must be analytical and customer focused.
- Able to present facts and opinions to colleagues.
- Able to manage time, and affectively juggle adhoc work with daily/weekly tasks
