THE ROLE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are currently working in partnership with a recognised retail business who are looking for an experienced, dynamic retail Merchandiser to join their established merchandising team.

The successful Merchandiser will work closely with the Senior Merchandiser to develop an implement and effective strategy for the specific category range and for the planning, controlling and monitoring of purchases. You will ensure that optimum inventory levels are achieved to maximise sales within budget and will be responsible for delivering agreed revenue and margin objectives.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
- Extensive retail Merchandising experience
- Proven experience of working to a tight budget
- Proven experience of developing and mentoring team members in order to increase and maintain standards of results
- Evidence of impeccable time management and multi-tasking to ensure that all deadlines and targets are met
- Strong Excel skills

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
- High level of user understanding of a recognised planning system
- Experience of SAP (or similar)
- Management experience
