About our Client:

Established in 1970s, they are a leading supplier of construction materials in the MENA region and operating in more than 15 countries worldwide. They manufacture specialised steel products for the construction industry (e.g. cable management systems, cladding fixation systems, etc.).

Currently, they are looking for an enthusiastic and professional individual to join their design team. The candidate will add value by designing and providing solutions as per the enquiries of customers and sales team. The successful engineer will be the first point of contact to the sales team reporting to their design office in Germany.

Main Tasks / Responsibilities:

- You will receive enquiries from their sales team, steel factory, and their design office in Germany to provide them with their required calculations and consultations.
- To do static / structural steel and concrete design calculations.
- Approaching consultants / designers / quality authorities to meet and seek further approvals and standards (e.g. UKAS, NEMA, IES, BS).
- If needed, to be able to travel to Middle East and EU to coordinate with sales team, factory, and meet with consultants and with their clients.

Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Experience and knowledge in static design and structural design for steel and concrete.
- Experience and knowledge in UBC, IBC, AISC AST.
- Currently they use Rstab, in Germany. Preferred to have experience in this or similar software.

Essentials:

- Knowledgeable about such industry.
- Ability to meet deadlines under work pressure.
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- The candidate will work with multiple sales teams in various countries, must have good communications skills and be good in coordination and well self-organised.
- To have a good PR skills and excellent presentation skills.
- The role will include travelling to MENA region to discuss further requirements of their clients.
