We are currently seeking to recruit a Claims Assistant/Trainee Negotiator to work within Aspen Risk Management Limited (ARML).ARML is part of the Aspen Group and combines traditional insurance with a comprehensive range of risk management facilities. This includes a broad spectrum of market leading property, casualty and specialty insurance products with health and safety and business continuity protection. The Claims Assistant/Trainee Negotiator will work within the terms of the delegated underwriting authority (DUA) between Aspen Insurance UK (AIUK) and ARML to deliver a claims service to ARML customers which is regarded as market leading.
This is an ideal role for someone looking for a career in Insurance and who is looking for that first step. Previous office experience is essential however previous Claims experience is not essential. This is a trainee role.
Main Duties:
- Compile new claims and register onto the claims system
- Complete CRU1 forms for all injury claims
- Maintain reserves and input fee payments
- Complete and submit payments to Finance Department
- Manage new notifications onto the Claims Portal and data capture MI relative to this
- Provide general administrative support to the claims team
- Produce weekly diary reports and distribute files to team
- Produce MI for Head of Claims, ARML
- Maintain a small case load of claims files and be trained in this area
- Position on-going personal development as a key priority
- Act as an ambassador for Aspen and support the sales team in the development of broker relationships
- Develop relationships with key brokers as required
- Undertake any further duties as directed by the Head of Claims, ARML
Skills
- A high standard of education and grades, preferably to Degree standard
- Prior administrative experience
- Able to liaise with internal and external clients with confidence to deliver a market leadings service
- Good interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication, organisational, numerical and verbal reasoning and analytical skills
- Administratively strong, with a desire and ability to develop still further
- Able to self-motivate, with a "can do" attitude
- Track record of delivery
- Microsoft packages, word, excel, e-mail, database software
