Procurement Specialist - Excellent Career Opportunity
One of the UK's largest not-for-profit employers has an excellent opportunity available for a Procurement Professional to join the recently-formed Purchasing team. This is an opportunity to join a highly successful not-for-profit business currently undergoing an exciting period of growth and development as they complete a major acquisition and look to continue their sustainable growth.
This is a relatively new Procurement function that's only been in operation for about 2 years and as such there is fantastic potential for the right candidate to leave their mark on the organisation in the strategic development of various indirect categories with opportunity for exposure to a wide variety of areas of spend including HR, Professional Services, Soft FM, Stationery & Office Consumables.
THE ROLE:
* Create purchasing contracts and tenders for a range of goods and services within the indirect space, with a spend responsibility of up to £30m/annum.
* Ensure that all procurement specifications are delivered in line with Office of the Journal of the European Union (OJEU) regulations.
* Build and develop relationships with key suppliers including monitoring performance and KPIs
* Engage with key internal stakeholders as well as external contacts in order to achieve best value at the highest quality.
* Work with the other procurement managers to develop and implement sourcing strategy and procedures across the whole of purchasing and supply chain.
* Work closely with the Head of Procurement and Procurement manager to determine and follow a personal training and development plan.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Demonstrable depth of experience managing procurement contracts or tenders.
* Experience in OJEU legislation, EU Procurement Regulations, or within a highly regulated environment is preferred but not essential.
* Experienced in delivering results across indirect spend categories, ideally having covered HR, Recruitment, Soft FM, Stationery, or corporate Professional Services.
* Good communication skills, able to build and develop strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Enthusiastic and Proactive individual, able to demonstrate credibility in negotiation and tender processes.
