Category Manager - Construction Frame (Steel & Concrete)

Location - North West/ West Midlands

Salary £70k + Package

1st Executive are working with one of the UK's leading multi function building contractors who have recently won a number of high profile Construction projects across the UK.

With the appointment of a new Director of Procurement/Supply Chain - our client is currently going through an exciting period of change and transformation across procurement & supply chain. As part of this growth they are looking to recruit a Category Manager to oversee the Frame Category including Steel & Concrete

Key duties -
* Develop sourcing plan and order winning criteria
* Implements category strategy and market profile
* Awards framework agreements
* Develop a category strategy for key tenders
* Conducts analysis to ensure ongoing development of the category/categories

The successful applicant will have a proven track record working within the construction field with a focus on the Frame category including Steel & Concrete - applications are welcomed from candidates who have a strong background across general sub-contract and material construction.

You will be comfortable working within a Changing/Greenfield environment and have a dynamic and forward thinking approach to procurement & supply chain with the gravitas to influence across all levels.

Requirements -

* CIPS/ Degree Qualified
* Strong Construction Category Knowledge
* In depth understanding of Construction & Frame Sub-Contractors
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Proven track record of delivering savings/influencing change
* Strong Stakeholder engagement skills
