Supply Chain Manager - Cambridgeshire (FTC Maternity Cover) - We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager for an initial 6 month fixed term contract (Maternity Cover) with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
Category Management:
* Provides input into the overall category strategies by working closely with the central category team to identify gaps in the supply chain on existing areas and future.
* Takes ownership of the strategy for implementing major sub-categories across your contract(s)and ensure your contract is fully represented during sourcing exercise.
Supplier Management:
* Take an active role in the provision of and reviewing of supplier performance data by contributing and attending supplier review meetings. Provide input on individual contract performance in order to inform contract, category and executive level supplier engagement.
* Be at the forefront of promoting framework supplier usage across your contract.
* Target supplier reduction and processing efficiencies to drive cost out of the supply chain process
Consignment Stock
* Responsible for the smooth running and development of consignment stock across all sites.
Sourcing:
* Captures specific business requirements and to support the category team when building ITT or RFx documents
* Accountable for the implementation of Group and BU contracts so that they can be used in practice by the contract/sites.
* Where appropriate, supports major bid activity where there is a significant operational written requirement
Contract Management:
* Work with the procurement analyst and category team to drive compliance via the framework deals, including root cause analysis for non-compliance and taking any necessary corrective actions
Key Requirements
* Business, Financial, Supply Chain Management or Technical degree
* MCIPS or equivalent professional qualifications preferred or studying towards.
* Experience in Sourcing & Procurement
* Will have led/managed a supply chain with multi-million pound spends within the Facilities Management category
* Previous experience of implementing projects in large, complex, multi-site corporate environments
* Track record of implementing contract performance measurement frameworks and implementing initiatives to improve post-award supplier performance
Candidates will be required to undergo UK MOD security clearance.
