Role Profile

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a global business based in the North West as a Procurement Systems Specialist. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintain and implementing standard procedures and ensure that the benefit is obtained by the business from the use of the Procurement systems. The successful applicant will support my client's global procurement team over a range of geographical regions and categories.

Key responsibilities within this key role include:

* To design and document standard processes in the use of procurement systems, in conjunction with the departmental manager.

* Provide training across all the Procurement systems, in particular taking the lead role in SAP Materials Management (MM) module area, including preparation of relevant help cards and documentation.

* Assist Procurement users in the use of systems so as to achieve their objectives, such as SAP (MM area), Ariba (Sourcing and Contract Management) and other in house systems.

* Measure performance versus compliance targets set in objectives.

* Maintain key data in procurement systems.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will:

* Hold a 2:1 degree or equivalent
* Demonstrate a working knowledge of a procurement environment
* Have an in depth knowledge of SAP (Ariba would be beneficial)
* The successful candidate will be willing to undertake some overseas travel
* 2nd language would be beneficial but not essential
