Experis Finance has been engaged by a Global FMCG (Food) business to deliver a first class Commercial Finance Analyst to support local commercial and operational teams. This role will ensure the delivery of business objectives through the provision and interpretation of key management information. In particular this role will provide quality information and use this to pro-actively challenge and influence commercial teams.

The role will ensure that clear processes are all in place and are followed to maintain accurate accounting for customer accruals.The ideal candidate will not only be a strong communicator but will have drive and determination, commercial and market focus and show innovation and creativity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Completion of accurate weekly sales and margin reporting and commentary

2. Provision of accurate sales and margin information for monthly management accounts pack

3. Ownership, control and reconciliation of customer rebates.

Sales Accounting

4. Complete sales volume reconciliation

5. Determine accounting treatment for variances

6. Liaise with Operational Finance to communcate actions taken and significant variances

7. Control accruals to ensure accruacy of revenue reporting

Rebates Management

1. Liaise with and challenge Category Finance teams to determine accruals

2. Manage rebates within SAP

3. Complete balance sheet reconcilations for customer accruals

4. Review and agree on treatment of customer claims.

Master Data Management

5. Complete approval flow of finished goods materials

6. Assist in management of product, brand and customer hierarchies

Planning & Process Ownership

1. Assist in forecast, projection and budget planning and control
2. Compile budget and forecasting profitability analysis
3. Assist in the completion of accurate and timely year end accounts
4. Ensure that process notes are in place and updated when required for all tasks within the role

Education

* Part qualified working towards a recognised accountancy qualification with first time passes.

Technical

* Strong analytical and numerical skills to support decision making.

* Excel intermediate user
