THE ROLE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a great opportunity within a newly restructured global team. The Category Manager will be supporting the Group Head of Procurement in the delivery of the agreed procurement strategy.

You will provide, Commercial advice on, and authorisation of, contracts, purchase commitments and expenditure made throughout the Group, of between £15-25m total expenditure per
Year including single contracts of up to £5m per year.

The successful Category Manager will be responsible for;
- Identifying and rolling out the procurement strategies across all global sites
- Establish and lead cross-functional teams in order to deliver the outlined strategy
- Analyse procurement spend and supply base to establish suppliers per category
- Identify both internal and external cost drivers
- Prepare and evaluate tenders alongside key stakeholders
- Negotiate contractual agreements and service levels with all suppliers
- Manage and develop supplier relationships
- Development of new processes and procedures for the group

EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
- Able to speak both English and either German, French or Dutch
- Educated to degree level or CIPS qualified
- In depth procurement knowledge
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong change management skills
- Ability to demonstrate good influencing skills at the senior level
- Experience working to deliver a new procurement strategy
- Experience managing a procurement category
- Significant supplier management experience
