A global Cosmetics company is looking for an experienced QA Engineer with a technical or manufacturing background, able to understand and resolve quality and technical issues relating to the product category, working under the direction of the Senior Engineer of this Northamptonshire site.
The position holder needs the ability to manage the technical development of multiple products whilst maintaining PERT schedule deadlines.
Responsible for ensuring that products conform to all European legislative requirements, Global Safety requirements and Performance Requirements.
Working within the wider matrix team of Regional Buying and Supply Chain Planning, to ensure that products are delivered 'on time, in full and in specification'. This role carries the responsibility for the day-to-day management of all range based finished goods to ensure they meet all quality performance requirements; applicable legislation & are 'fit for purpose'.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
Order of importance:
Sample evaluation and sealing to ensure product meets full QA approval process prior to deliveries.
Ensuring that all F&H products meet all Markets' disparate legislative requirements by close liaison with both Markets and Regional Regulatory teams.
Working closely with Vendors to ensure that all products are legally compliant and meet Avon's quality and safety requirements prior to supply.
Collating required documentation to build a full technical file for each product including entering material information into Regulatory share point tables.
Managing artwork process.
Liaising with Matrix team and local Markets' QC teams to share information of product timelines, potential issues and development opportunities.
Who we're looking for
The QA Engineer will have a background in Cosmetics, preferably, though other sectors will be considered.
Further desirable qualities:
HND/HNC in technology based subject
Direct experience of quality control and quality assurance systems.
Knowledge of legislative and testing requirements on a wide range of product types e.g. electrical, toys, home fragrancing, textiles etc
Computer literacy
Minimum 3 years experience in product development role.
