Alzheimer's Society is the leading care and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. Dementia affects over 800,000 people in the UK alone and numbers continue to grow.
We are looking for an individual to take an active role in helping the charity decide which research the charity support with its allocated research budget that could change the lives of people affected by dementia. You will have an interest in medical research and healthcare, and have some experience in research management, research administration or a similar role.
The role has an exciting secondment to support the delivery of the Brains for Dementia Research programme. This is a large and complex grant to support brain donation in the UK, and is equally co funded by Alzheimer’s Research UK (http://www.alzheimersresearchuk.org/) and Alzheimer’s Society. The post holder will be seconded to Alzheimer’s Brain Bank UK (ABBUK) (a limited company created by Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer’s Research UK) to facilitate the efficient delivery of Brains for Dementia Research programme (http://www.brainsfordementiaresearch.org.uk/).
