Position: Field Service Engineer
Location: will cover North- Cambridgeshire and Norfolk
Salary: £20k circa plus benefits
ROLE:
The Field Service Engineer / Site Support Technician will prioritise and provide the best service in terms of new EPOS installations, Field Service and specialist support as outlined below.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Installation of new EPOS hardware including, data cabling if appropriate. Installation and deployment of systems using correct and documented procedures.
b) Provide EPOS operational standards advice - Via Telephone, modem, Best Practice and/or training.
c) Ensuring personal availability at all times and the holding of adequate spares at all times within defined territory(s).
d) Ensuring that all aspects of the build and repair process are followed at all times. Ensuring all areas of the repair centre and vehicles are in a clean & acceptable workable state at all times.
e) Compliance that all deployed/repaired systems is asset tracked and assigned to the correct customer.
f) Ensuring non-EPOS PC based ordering systems are supported and available at all times.
g) Support the Helpdesk team as required and general administration duties.
h) Communicate any observations of future potential issues which may arise from any IT system.
i) Compliance with health and safety responsibilities as defined at Level 3 of the company Health and Safety Policy arrangements.
j) Maintain employee and organisational confidentiality in line with Data Protection Act.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Previous experience in a similar Field Service Engineer role.
b) Basic education (numeracy and literacy).
c) Good attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
d) Good analytical organisational skills.
e) Willingness to learn new skills.
f) Willingness to work some weekends and bank holidays.
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Electrical Qualification.
b) Knowledge of structured data cabling.
