Leading Global Organisation in the Pharmaceutical sector has an exciting vacancy available for a procurement professional to join the business and lead Procurement across all direct and indirect spend category areas in a Greenfield purchasing function.

Role:

* Work with the other Department Heads to determine and implement full end-to-end sourcing strategies across a Greenfield spend portfolio the biggest areas will be raw materials, laboratory consumables but will incorporate all direct and indirect areas of spend.
* Manage relationships with new and existing suppliers and ensure that they are conforming to appropriate quality standards for products and components, as well as working with them to improve overall delivery.
* Identify and engage with senior stakeholders to improve the profile of the procurement and Supply Chain functions.
* Take the lead across all purchasing projects to achieve targets in terms of savings delivery and quality of procured goods and services.

Requirements:

* Demonstrable depth of procurement experience with strong understanding of strategic sourcing methodologies, specifically with experience in Pharmaceutical or Chemical raw material spend, or laboratory/medical consumables.
* Solid understanding of managing highly complex supplier/stakeholder relationships and negotiating contracts.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, able to work with multiple stakeholders in a consultative process.
* Previous experience of working within aGreenfieldpurchasing function will be useful but not required.
* Degree or relevant qualification preferred
